Welcome to the Hunting in Alaska Series. Join Ian Harford and Steve Wild behind-the-scenes on their epic Alaska hunting adventure.

Following a successful day of hunting black bear in Alaska and using their fieldcraft knowledge and skills to follow the tracks and retrieving the fallen game. Ian Harford and Steve Wild have now travelled to their hunting camp in Caribou country in Alaska and prepare for another day of hunting in Alaska.

The team will spend the last few days in the Alaskan wilderness, glassing and stalking with the hope of successfully hunting caribou and hunting grizzly bear. However, a new location brings a new set of challenges that they must overcome. A new camp within the Alaskan wilderness, there’s a strong number of animals near, including Grizzly bear and Caribou. Unfortunately, none meet the minimum requirements for harvest, so the team must move deeper into the valley.

Armed with their Blaser and Sauer rifles, the team must explore the Alaskan wilderness on foot once again in the hope of another successful hunt.

After a short climb Ian Harford and Steve Wild spot a couple of mature Caribou bulls that are legal to harvest. They take the time to check out all of the options. Steve’s eagle eyes have spotted a beautiful mountain grizzly bear feeding on a berry patch high on the side of the mountain.

The bear is a mature Grizzly bear, now the team has a dilemma… As the team stalks into the Caribou the Grizzly is now on a collision with the team. Do they bear or continue onwards to double tag the caribou?
